PLUS PLAN JUNE 2021
THE PLAN EXPLAINED
For my plus plan I really want to experiment with new techniques. A technique I haven’t used a lot yet is lino cutting. I want to improve my skills so I can use this technique in upcoming projects. I want to experiment with making patterns but also want to make very detailed lino prints, so I can practice the precision of the art.

"FULL SCREEN MODE" ON IMAC FOR THE BEST EXPERIENCE
The subject of the lino’s will have themes surrounding the LGBTQ community because of pride month. In my earlier reflection document and also in coaching assignments I discovered that I wanted to create art with a voice so to say. I think this would be the perfect combination of me learning a new skill while also putting my thoughts about what I want my art to be into practice.

REFLECTING
I am happy with the outcome of this two week project. I did experiment with a new technique and explored making some easy stamp like designs but also some more detailed ones. The research I did was also very interesting because I looked into these two artists with both a Graphic Design background. I decided to display my works in mockups so I could get a clear vision of what the designs would look like if they were implemented by the target audience.
I'm not totally fulfilled of the connection with the target audience (pride month/lgbtq), it is too "clean" in a way. I didn't want it to be a rainbow stereotypical pride collection, but a little color wouldn't have been out of place. Overall I am glad how these two weeks went and had very much fun experimenting.
